Mohammed Qasim is a farmer’s boy who lives right next to the compound in Abbottabad.
A special forces helicopter landed in the field just behind his house.
Masked men emerged.
Mohammed Qasim said they spoke fluent Pashtu, a language of Pakistan.
He heard them 'smash their way into' the compound.
Twenty minutes later, he heard the helicopters depart with their captives.
Mohammed Qasim's father was seized by soldiers during the raid.

According to Mohammed Qasim, two families had been living in the compound.
They were headed by Arshad Khan, 'in his forties', and his young brother Tariq.
They spoke perfect Pashtu (a language of Pakistan)
Mohammed Qasim said the Khans had eight or nine children, including Abdur Rahman and Khalid, both six or seven years old; two or three women lived in the house.
These children also spoke Pashtu.
Every morning the mothers and their children would leave the house a Suzuki van.
Mohammed Qasim insisted that he never saw Osama bin Laden.
He said: "I don't believe he was there."
Peter Osborne could see "practically no signs of a fight" when he arrived at the Khan’s family house.
"No bullet marks punctured the walls."

According to Pakistani Urdu TV channel Geo News (killed in Abbotabad near Islamabad of Pakistan):
Pakistani intelligence officials said that a Pakistani army helicopter was shot down in Abbottabad and then a search operation was launched by Pakistani forces.
At about 1:20 a.m. local time a Pakistani helicopter was shot down by unknown people in the Sikandarabad area of Abbottabad.
The Pakistani forces launched a search operation in the nearby area and encountered a group of unknown armed people.
An exchange of fire followed between the two sides.
When the exchange of fire ended, the Pakistani forces arrested some Arab women and children as well some other armed people.
Two U.S. helicopters flew to the site and carried away a dead body
Initial reports said that at least one was killed and two others were injured in the crash.
At least two houses were engulfed by the huge fire caused by the crashed chopper.

U.S. officials have listed a number of points that they claim prove the dead man is Osama bin Laden:
DNA taken from 'the brain of Osama bin Laden's sister following her death from brain cancer' was a 99.9 per cent match to that of Osama.
A woman, 'believed to be one of bin Laden's wives', confirmed bin Laden was the dead man.
The CIA said they compared photos of bin Laden's body with known photos of him and were 95 per cent sure that they showed the same man.
The burial from an aircraft carrier in the North Arabian Sea was videotaped aboard the ship, according to a senior defence official.
All sounds like a lot of CIA lies?

Is this Osama?
The 'Osama' body has been made to disappear into the sea and the 'Osama' compound has been burnt.
On 2 May 2011, Indigo (Why Bin Laden's death matters The Spectator) writes:
"It all looks a bit too neat, to me.
"Osama bin Laden caught in a luxury compound (the photos of the interior seem to show a hovel) in Pakistan (to embarrass Pakistan), shot while using a woman as a shield (to rubbish his memory with Arabs who admire a strong man), buried at sea with all Muslim ritual (highly unlikely, going by Americans' normal attitude to brown non-Christians from top to bottom of US society), the "intelligence" that led to his discovery having been obtained under torture from a Guantanamo detainee, and - cherry on the cake - Obama's reputation rescued from the doldrums.

A CBS Report on US TV by Dan Rather and Barry Petersen, 28 Jan 2002, suggested that Osama bin Laden was in a Pakistani Military hospital in Rawalpindi on 10th September 2001, the day before the Attacks on America.
The Pakistani military HQ in Rawalpindi is used by resident US military and intelligence advisers, who routinely report to Washington.

According to a partner at the American hospital in Dubai, Osama bin Laden was in the American hospital in Dubai in July 2001.

And the CIA station chief who met Osama in hospital in July 2001 was, reportedly, Larry Mitchell.

Dubai... was the backdrop of a secret meeting between Osama bin Laden and the local CIA agent in July.
A partner of the administration of the American Hospital in Dubai claims that public enemy number one stayed at this hospital between the 4th and 14th of July.
Having taken off from the Quetta airport in Pakistan, bin Laden was transferred to the hospital upon his arrival at Dubai airport.
He was accompanied by his personal physician and faithful lieutenant, who could be Ayman al-Zawahari - but on this sources are not entirely certain -, four bodyguards, as well as a male Algerian nurse, and admitted to the American Hospital, a glass and marble building situated between the Al-Garhoud and Al-Maktoum bridges.
Each floor of the hospital has two "VIP" suites and fifteen rooms.
The Saudi billionnaire was admitted to the well-respected urology department run by Teerry Callaway, gallstone and infertility specialist.
Dr Callaway declined to respond to our questions despite several phone calls.
As early as March, 2000, 'Asia Week,' published in Hong Kong, expressed concern for bin Laden's health, describing a serious medical problem that could put his life in danger because of "a kidney infection that is propagating itself to the liver and requires specialized treatment".
According to authorized sources, bin Laden had mobile dialysis equipment shipped to his hideout in Kandahar in the first part of 2000.
According to our sources, bin Laden's "travels for health reasons" have taken place before.
Between 1996 and 1998, bin Laden made several trips to Dubai on business.
On September 27th, 15 days after the World Trade Center attacks, at the request of the United States, the Central Bank of the Arab Emirates announced an order to freeze assts and investments of 26 people or organisations suspected of mainting contact with bin Laden's organization, and in particular at the Dubai Islamic Bank.
"Relations between the Emirate and Saudi Arabia have always been very close," according to sources, "princes of reigning families, having recognized the Taliban regime, often travelled to Afghanistan.
One of the princes of a ruling family regularily went hunting on the land of bin Laden, whom he had known and visited for many years."
There are daily flights between Dubai and Quetta by both Pakistan and Emirates Airlines.
As to private planes from Saudi Arabia or from the Emirates, they regulariy fly to Quetta, where their arrival is rarely registered in airport logs.
While he was hospitalised, bin Laden received visits from many members of his family as well as prominent Saudis and Emiratis.
During the hospital stay, the local CIA agent, known to many in Dubai, was seen taking the main elevator of the hospital to go to bin Laden's hospital room.
A few days later, the CIA man bragged to a few friends about having visited bin Laden.
Authorised sources say that on July 15th, the day after bin Laden returned to Quetta, the CIA agent was called back to headquarters.
In late July, Emirates customs agents arrested Franco-Algerian activist Djamel Beghal at the Dubai airport.
In early August, French and American authorities were advised of the arrest.
Interrogated by local authorities in Abu Dhabi, Beghal stated that he was called to Afghanistan in late 2000 by Abou Zoubeida, a military leader of bin Laden's organization, Al Qaeda. Beghal's mission: bomb the US embassy on Gabriel avenue, near the Place de la Concorde, upon his return to France.
According to Arab diplomatic sources as well as French intelligence, very specific information was transmitted to the CIA with respect to terrorist attacks against American interests around the world, including on US soil.
A DST report dated 7 September enumerates all the intelligence, and specifies that the order to attack was to come from Afghanistan.
In August, at the US Embassy in Paris, an emergency meeting was called between the DGSE (French foreign intelligence service) and senior US intelligence officials.
The Americans were extremely worried, and requested very specific information from the French about Algerian activists, without advising their counterparts about the reasons for their requests.
To the question "what do you fear in the coming days?", the Americans kept a difficult-to-fathom silence.
Contacts between the CIA and bin Laden began in 1979 when, as a representative of his family's business, bin Laden began recruiting volunteers for the Afghan resistance against the Red Army.
FBI investigators examining the embassy bombing sites in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam discovered that evidence led to military explosives from the US Army, and that these explosives had been delivered threee years earlier to Afghan Arabs, the infamous international volunteer brigades involved side by side with bin Laden during the Afghan war against the Red Army.
In the pursuit of its investigations, the FBI discovered "financing agreements" that the CIA had been developing with its "arab friends" for years.
The Dubai meeting is then within the logic of "a certain American policy".

Two months before September 11 Osama bin Laden flew to Dubai for 10 days for treatment at the American hospital, where he was visited by the local CIA agent, according to the French newspaper Le Figaro.
The disclosures are known to come from French intelligence which is keen to reveal the ambiguous role of the CIA, and to restrain Washington from extending the war to Iraq and elsewhere.
Bin Laden is reported to have arrived in Dubai on July 4 from Quetta in Pakistan with his own personal doctor, nurse and four bodyguards, to be treated in the urology department. While there he was visited by several members of his family and Saudi personalities, and the CIA.
The CIA chief was seen in the lift, on his way to see Bin Laden, and later, it is alleged, boasted to friends about his contact. He was recalled to Washington soon afterwards.
Intelligence sources say that another CIA agent was also present; and that Bin Laden was also visited by Prince Turki al Faisal, then head of Saudi intelligence, who had long had links with the Taliban, and Bin Laden. Soon afterwards Turki resigned, and more recently he has publicly attacked him in an open letter: "You are a rotten seed, like the son of Noah"...
Private planes owned by rich princes in the Gulf fly frequently between Quetta and the Emirates, often on luxurious "hunting trips" in territories sympathetic to Bin Laden. Other sources confirm that these hunting trips have provided opportunities for Saudi contacts with the Taliban and terrorists, since they first began in 1994.
Bin Laden has often been reported to be in poor health. Some accounts claim that he is suffering from Hepatitis C, and can expect to live for only two more years.
According to Le Figaro, last year he ordered a mobile dialysis machine to be delivered to his base at Kandahar in Afghanistan...

In 1931, Osama bin Laden's father, Mohammed, set up the the BinLaden Group. The group deals in publishing, banking, construction, property and transport and is worth several billions.

According to French intelligence, during the 1980's, Salem bin Laden helped the Reagan Administration when it secretly arranged for an estimated thirty-four million dollars to be funnelled through Saudi Arabia to the Contras, in Nicaragua. On the morning of September 11, 2001, George W. Bush's father, George H. W. Bush, was meeting with Osama bin Laden's brother, Shafig bin Laden, in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington, on Carlyle Group business. (Osama Bin Laden, 1957 – 2001)

"The family is reported to have given $2 million to Harvard and $300,000 to Tufts University, as well as owning massive amounts of real estate in Florida and Massachusetts."

Osama bin Laden's niece is called Waffah and she is a 'pop star, reality TV star and wannabe actor'. In December 2005, Wafah posed naked except for an ostrich feather in an American men's magazine. (Welcome to the family, Mrs bin Laden)

One of Osama's brother is called Yeslam. His company produces watches, handbags, belts and sunglasses and £66-a-flagon perfume. He runs his luxury goods business from Geneva.
Yeslam's former wife, Carmen, is not a Moslem.
According to The Sunday Telegraph (Welcome to the family, Mrs bin Laden) :
"When Carmen married into the bin Ladens in 1974, she thought them a thoroughly Westernised family. They had jeans and Afro hair, and they loved pop music and Western magazines. A glance at the family album, which includes a 1971 photograph of a family holiday in Falum, Sweden, would certainly have suggested they enjoyed all things Western. It shows a group of bin Laden cousins posing in jocular mood beside a gaudy pink Cadillac."
Another of Osama's brothers, Abdullah Mohammed, lives in America. He has a doctorate from Harvard Law School and he is a one of the world's wealthiest bachelors.

Le Figaro cited a "professional partner" linked to the hospital's management as its source.
Besides a stream of local dignitaries and family members, bin Laden's visitors included a local CIA agent, the newspaper reported. The agent was widely recognized locally, Le Figaro said, and later told several friends of the meeting. The alleged American spy was called back to the CIA's McLean, Va., headquarters July 15 - a day after bin Laden checked out, Le Figaro reported, citing "authorized sources."

8. The bin Laden political and business connections
The Carlyle Group is known for its politically connected executives such as former President George H. W. Bush, former Secretary of State James Baker, and former British Prime Minister John Major.
The family continues to have a stake, estimated by one source at about ten million dollars, in the Fremont Group, a private investment company, on whose board of directors sits another former Secretary of State, George Shultz.
Much of the family's private banking is handled by Citigroup, which is chaired by former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. The family has equity investments with Merrill Lynch and Goldman, Sachs. Among the family's business partners is General Electric. A spokesman for Jack Welch, the chairman of G.E., says that the family threw a party for him in the nineteen-nineties in Saudi Arabia, and that Welch "considers them good business partners."
One American diplomat says, "You talk about your global investors, it's them. They own part of Microsoft, Boeing, and who knows what else." Others note that the family has been awarded contracts to help rebuild American military installations, including the Khobar Towers, which were damaged in a terrorist attack that killed nineteen servicemen in 1996.

According to information's collected by Le Figaro, and Radio France International, Osama Bin Laden met with an American CIA agent in July 2001 while he was being treated for a kidney ailment at the American Hospital of Dubai.
"The billionaire Saudi Bin Laden visited the American Hospital of Dubaï from July 4 to July 14th, two months before the attacks of September 11, confirmed by sources close to European services of information.
"He was accompanied by his personal doctor and faithful lieutenant, Egyptian Ayman Al-Zawahari, a male nurse and four bodyguards. Bin Laden suffers from a renal infection which is propagated with the liver and requires specialized care. Doctor Terry Callaway at The American Hospital of Dubai is known for the specialized treatment of such ailments.
